~Getting ready for Christmas~

The Christmas Tree all decorated..... I do have a skirt I just forgot to put it on for the picture. It's such a relief after the tree is all decorated it seems like that is the hardest and longest part.
Last but not least, the Angel on the top. The girls wanted to put the angel on first so when it was finale time it was extra special.

Madison is concentrating so hard on putting the bulb on right.
The girls were such great help decorating this year.
When Brian got the tree out from storage the kids were jumping up and down saying Christmas tree yeah!!! They have been bugging Daddy to get the decorations for 3 days (yes before thanksgiving)
Christmas is such a fun time a year actually once October hits it is so exciting with Halloween then thanksgiving and the big finale CHRISTMAS!! I love my house in December cause all the decorations fill the blank spots on the wall and it is so festive.
The kids were so excited to see Santa this year so we decided to go on black Friday since I was canceled from work we had some christmas fun.

Look Santa's Beard is real.

Kenzie Asked Santa for a Princess Vanity. Madison wants a Tinkerbell toy.
I cant believe they sat on Santa's lap. Every year till this year they both would scream and they would only look at Santa from a distance. This time mckenzie ran right up and Madison wanted me to hold her hand till she got on Santa's lap. I tell you it was nice for a change to see them happy and excited to be with Santa instead of scared to death!!!

Thanksgiving Feast!!!

Madison and Kenzie anxiously waiting for me to get ready so we can go to Grandma's for dinner.

Kenzie caught red handed chowing down on the the nuts before dinner!!! My honey waiting patiently to eat some grub
The Lukowski Crew.. It's been a tradition since before I can remember that we have the Lukowski's over for thanksgiving.. Our parents are really good friends and I dont know what it would be like without them here for dinner. This family is so funny they always make me laugh.
The love birds!!! Newly wedded this summer and alreay expecting. Yeah!

Thanks to the great Jane Miller (MOM) We had a wonderful Thanksgiving feast. She always works extra hard to make this holiday super special and she always succeeds. It's been my one of my favorite holidays because it brings the family close together.
Enjoying conversation..
Eating the Grub!
Grandpa Dave, Mira, Maria, David and Karen all enjoying good eats.
The kids table...Where we were sitting.
" I'm all done mommy" Said Kenzie. Look, at least I ate all my food, I was stuffed! The girls on the other hand, well you see their plates.
Mckenzie was so thirsty after the dinner, but I really think it was from eating so many peanuts before the dinner.
Amy and Mini Amy...Madi looks just like Amy if you saw Amy's baby pictures you would think they were twins because they looks so much alike. Madison adores Amy. When Madison was a baby I accidentally called her Amy a couple of times.
Daddy talking to Mckenzie, telling her we had to go.. She wasnt too happy about that.

We really had a great time at my parents house. The kids were very excited and had fun getting all dressed up in their sunday dress for thanksgiving feast. I am so greatful for my family and all the many blessing in my life. Most of all I am greatful for the love that I share between my family and the lord. I know I couldn't do half the things I do if it wasn't for the lords love and blessings.

~The night before Thanksgiving~

We all went to Grandma Janes house to help her bake pies and set up for thanksgiving. We got home late and the kids were so excited to have thanksgiving feast the next day. Kids are so fun during the holidays!! They make everything so exciting.

What I've been up to!!

So all week I have been miss crafty. I love it. I never really make many things but I have had an itch for making bows and tutu's lately. It all started when I found out we didn't have much money for Christmas. I was thinking of what my mom did when I was younger.. She always made her family some cute craft decoration of some sort. they were always so cute. My family didn't have much money growing up but I do remember my mom spending hours crafting gifts together for Christmas. So, this gave me the idea to make my kids tutu's for Christmas. I never new it would be so fun. If you have never made one but want to for your girls or for your nieces it is way easy. I made Madi 2. I don't have a pic but the first one I made a lot of mistakes and I had a lot of material so I started on another and it turned out great I'll post a pic soon.. This tutu is Mckenzie. I think she will really like it.

I am making flower bows!!!

The other day I was at the mall looking to buy some bows for my girls to match their outfits and I couldn't find what I wanted. I have been wanting to start making my own bows for quit some time but I didn't do it. I decided to go to the craft store and look. Of course I found just what I needed but everything is sold in bulk. So, If any of you want me to make you some bows I will be happy to, just tell me the colors and size and I am way cheep!! I'll make it for the cost the the stuff.
Kenzie didn't want to smile but this is one of the bows I made. I'm so excited

Cookin'

Rebecca always asks me why I dont ever put anything on the blog so I thought I would make a little post. Rebecca and I were doing the thing which I enjoy the most.... well probably second most.... and that is eating. I thought Rebecca looked good in this picture so I thought I would post it. You can kind of see the big ole juicy steaks I grilled up not too long ago in the background. Mmmm they were good. I love my grill. Rebecca and the fam all chipped in a couple of years ago to buy me the mother of grills and I love to grill on it. I will post some of my creations someday soon. Rebecca is such a wonderful wife and mother. Mckenzie Madison and I all love her so much.

We Went Swimming Today.

I think swimming is one of Madison and Kenzie's favorite things to do. When I told them we were going swimming today they were so excited! We were waiting for our friends here in the top picture.Still waiting for Sarah and her kids. Mckenzie thought is was a good idea to eat lunch while we were waiting.
After lunch they went wild and started swimming!

Sarah did show up but I was too wet to take any more pics :( Maybe next time! After we swam for a while they turned on the BIG PURPLE SLIDE. My kids and Sarah's kids love the slide and were anticipating it to turn on soon. Once it was turned on, all they wanted was to go down it. Madi and Kenzie don't usually go on the slide by themselves. Kenzie went down by herself for the first time. She did so good and after she did it once she new she could do it. She went down again and again and again. I couldn't stop her. I went down with Madison the first time and even the second, but after that I was tired and wanted to sit by the steps. I asked Madi if she wanted to go by herself and she said, yes. So, down she went on the big purple slide all by herself she was having a blast... We had a great time at the pool, I dont know why we havent done it in so long.

5 things I am grateful for day 10

1. My kids love to brush their teeth - Brian is in the pre-dental class and his instructor wanted him to take pictures of kids brushing their teeth and since our kids love to, he took lots of pics
2. Kenzie has NO cavities - Mckenzie just had a dentist appointment and she was no cavities. Yeah!!
3. Madi has No cavities - Madison just had her first dentist appointment and her xray shows no cavities!!!
4. My kids love the Dentist - Our Pediatric Dentist has this cool superhero picture as his logo. He sends out birthday cards with the logo and coupons with this superhero brushing his teeth. They think that the super hero is their dentist and every time they get mail with the superhero they say "that's my dentist" and get all excited.
5. My kids cant wait to see the dentist again - When we went to the dentist on Monday the office was having 80's day. All the dental assistants and receptionist's were dressed up like they were in the 80's, it was so fun. Our dental assistant had a star necklace and one circle earing and one star earing. Kenzie thought that was so cool. Kenzie got her x-rays done first and after Kenzie did it so well, Madi was excited to do it. I couldn't believe how cooperative the girls were. I was worried they would get scared. When it was time to clean their teeth the dental asst. showed the little gun that spins and cleans the teeth, she let them touch the spinner to see how it tickles their finger and explained it would tickle their teeth. Then, they got to pick what flavor tooth paste they got. My kids both chose strawberry. After they were all done they got two bags a goodies. One with a new toothbrush, floss, and tooth paste. The second bag had a bunch of 80's toys like those slap bracelets and other knick-naks. They stayed entertained brushing there teeth with their new tooth brushes, and playing with their 80's jewelry. I never knew the dentist could be such a great experience. I am so grateful that their teeth are healthy and they were so excited about the whole thing! Today Kenzie said "I want to go to the dentist again, can we go today?" I had to explain to her that we only go twice a year. She said "so we can go after Christmas?" I thought that was so cute and I told her "yes".
